So much for the ‘breathtaking’ solar eclipse (or apocalypse day as I call it). All I noticed was the gloomy weather getting slightly gloomier for a little while.
What started as a wintery grey and cloudy day soon turned into the most beautiful spring sunshine though, so off I wandered into the daffodils.
Isn’t it just the best when it gets to March/April and you remember you don’t actually have to wear big fat coats all the time? Granted, I’ll probably start missing them soon, they do hide a multitude of sins (if this turns out to be actual, lasting spring and not just one of nature’s practical jokes).
I haven’t worn a cardigan in soo long, today reminded me of the appeal. As has probably come across by now, I am a big fan of oversized clothing – and living with two men I have plenty to pilfer from 🙂
As a big fan of comfort dressing, I must say I LOVED boiler suits last season, and I don’t think I’ll be giving them up any time soon. They are so easy to dress up or down, and require very little thought in the mornings. Today I accessorised with frilly white socks (from Ebay – they were super cheap and have lasted amazingly long), a necklace from Italian brand Camomilla, and my favourite Vivienne Westwood envelope clutch which is roomy enough for EVERYTHING. Oh, and my sunglasses (which I have gushed over before, here) are from Fullspot.
These Converse used to be mid-calf heigh, I cut them off, sewed them up and have got so much more wear out of them since.
And finally here’s a pretty view of Canary Wharf from a distance. You’re welcome.
