I may be pent up in bed with the flu, but I am dreaming of the sunny beaches of my soon-to-be dissertation-free world. And you simply cannot hit the beach without some new beachwear amirite?
Here’s what I have my eye on this week:
1. Moschino Logo Printed Nylon Swimming Shorts, £96
I know these are technically for the boys, but I want! Big time. Hey, why not kid yourself you’re buying them as a gift! I won’t tell if you don’t.
I like the Mary Katrantzou-ish feel to this.
I find that (price and comfort-wise) H&M’s underwear and beach collections are very hard to beat, and this little rose number is no exception.
I have to include a halter style because they are everywhere this season, but really – how is this a good idea? I have enough issues trying to minimise the tan lines from a bandeau top… I guess if you’re just planning on chilling in the shade of an aptly placed palm tree? If you’re headed somewhere shady, this one’s the one for you – very James Bond-ish.
5. ASOS Watercolour Contrast Zip Front Swimsuit, £32
I have said it before and I will say it again: I am a sucker for a well placed zip.
6. She Shea Taylor Kaftan, £85
I love this Liverpool based bespoke fashion label. Every piece is handmade to order and so so pretty. I ordered a fringed black kaftan from them last summer and have got a lot of wear out of it, even off the beach: I love it for layering! Try a sheer kaftan over t-shirts and jeans, crop tops or midi dresses, it just adds a certain something something.
7. Oh My Love Neon Contrast Beach Playsuit, £35
The seaside is synonymous with playsuits, right? I love the exaggerated sweetheart effect on this one.
So there you have it. Happy shopping!
